Abbeville Road is the refurbishment of the ground floor of a Victorian four-bedroom property. The renovation aimed to create a relaxed atmosphere by blending traditional and modern elements. Located a short walk from the Village and its charming shops and restaurants, the house now features updated interiors with a serene palette of materials.

The client's brief was to modernise the interiors using a calm colour scheme. To achieve this, painted kitchen cabinets, exposed brickwork, and oak joinery were selected for their aesthetics and durability. The kitchen area was carefully planned to include a separate coffee and drinks station, a utility area, and additional storage throughout. Adjacent to the breakfast bar, the dining room bench is made of oak and includes sliding storage beneath the seating.

The refurbishment also enhanced the performance of the spaces. The ground floor slab was re-laid with a wet underfloor heating system. New double-glazed doors and windows were installed, and the old boiler and hot water cylinder were replaced with energy-efficient models.
